Week 4: Websites of the Day

Listen to this Post. Powered by iSpeech.org

Larry Ferlazzo’s Websites of the Day contains numerous posts that talk about websites that will help teachers teach English Language Learners and English as a Second Language. Although at first I was overwhelmed with the amount of posts he has, but I found at the top of his site a tab titled “Most Popular Blog Posts.” By clicking on this tab, I found the posts that have got the most hits from viewers, which was extremely beneficial in narrowing down the amount of information. One article I really enjoyed on his blog titled, “The Best Sites to Help Teach About 9/11,” which gave alot of great information and accessible sites about the attacks on September 11, 2001 and how to present this information in your classroom. On this blog post, there were hundreds of links that you could have clicked on to get further facts and news articles about this tragic day in history. Larry’s blog site contains a ton of great resources that will not only benefit English Language Learners, but every student that walks through the doors of your classroom as well.
